Nigel Duckett is the Managing Director, having set up the company in 2006 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Prentke Romich Company. Nigel has 18 years involvement in the disability sector. He has worked with many people with significant impairments through almost a decade spent building up Access Cabs, the wheelchair accessible taxi service, in Adelaide. Post graduate qualifications in Disability Studies at Flinders University under Professor Roy Brown have added to Nigel's BA (Hons) in Business Studies, thus increasing personal awareness of the vital issues faced daily by Liberator's customers. Prior to taking up a position with Liberator, Nigel invested seven years in successfully managing the Assistive Technology business unit at Novita Children's Services Incorporated, where he became acquainted with the Prentke Romich & Saltillo ranges. Nigel is excited & enthused to be moving from a market development role into more direct involvement once again with Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) device users.

Liberator is very excited to announce that Maureen Casey has now joined the team in Aug, 2009! She is on board as our Product Specialist, bringing to the role extensive practical field experience, pragmatic Minspeak knowledge & specific teaching strategies. Maureen hails from South Africa where she obtained a Masters degree in Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) whilst putting in over 25 years into the education sector. Having developed & taught effective communication strategies in both special schools & mainstream settings, Maureen brings a unique blend of passion & practicality to the Australian AAC landscape. Liberator welcomes her involvement in education & training around our product range knowing that customers will be even better supported into the future.

Jeff is the salvation of many users, parents, teachers and therapists in the assistive technology field, having looked after repairs & technical support for Novita Children's Services Inc.orporated over the past five years. Blessed with manual dexterity to supplement his Bachelor's degree in Information Science (University of Adelaide), Jeff is universally known as a classic "Mr Fix-it". Liberator is very fortunate to have secured his services and the company looks forward to expanding his role in areas of product development and refinement.

Mel joined the Liberator team in Jan, 2009 as an experienced administrator with extensive technical product background. With over 20 years experience in administration and product dispatch at Novita Children's Services Incorporated, Mel is a wonderful addition to our power team. She is the contact for product sales, enquiries and for setting up home-trial and loan agreements.
